Meet your crafter: Marlin
Rounding in on retirement at a young age, those around Marlin knew that he is not one to sit still for long, so it was no surprise when in 2020, The Forge first took shape! The first knives, hand crafted sheaths, and holster experiments began. Over the years more tools, unique woods and even a lathe have found their way into his barn next to the home made vegetable containers, dehydrating garlic from the garden and drying wood waiting to be the next project…
Finding inspiration from his hobbies and family, he tackled each idea, and taught himself how to craft the works of art. Each project has a story and perhaps an injury… making them each genuinely unique.
Growing up in the midwest Marlin has always been resourceful, creative and outdoors! As an adult and residing in the PNW, his hobbies have varied from hunting, hiking, horseback riding, camping, gardening and even boating. Mastering the art of each indulged hobby, he’s always found himself creating a project to improve or enhance the past time at hand! Sometimes this is simplifing a gadget or just using what he has to solve a problem.
Always up for a challenge, and as a true family man, he’s executed all of the visions from his ever resourceful wife, kids and grandkids! Ready to tackle a craft, you’ll hear him say “I’ll try anything once” when it comes to projects and ideas!
